About our Dessert Candles

Dessert Candles are considered "Novelty Candles" therefor require more maintenance & upkeep than a basic candle.  Its highly recommended you follow our care instructions to not only learn the best safety protocols but to also increase the longevity of your candle.

How to care for your candle

  1. Before lighting for the first time, trim your wick to 1/4-1/2".
  2. Light candle & burn for 2-3 mins, extinguish flame, trim to 1/4-1/2" & relight.
  3. We recommend you place candle on a candle plate to protect the surface from any excess wax that may drip over the sides.
  4. Dessert candles should not burn more than 2 hours at a time.
  5. If candles with whipped topping burn down quickly, you notice excess soot &/or high flame a more frequent trim may be necessary.
  6. If the candle vessel gets excessively HOT, avoid lighting.  Once the wax reaches around 1/2" from the bottom, discontinue use & repurpose your vessel. These jars work great as makeup brush holders, pencil holders & more!
